The home’s lush, sprawling, lawn stretches in all directions. Steps leading to the beach are wide for easy climbing, and number only about 15. Awaiting below are a private dock and boat launch, where guests can swim, fish, sunbathe or set out to explore the lake. The 16' aluminum boat is available as a free amenity and 2 kayaks are available for a modest additional weekly rental fee.
There is a good-sized boat house on the property, well-stocked with beach chairs and umbrella, a paddle board and a 16-foot row boat, all free for guests to use onsite. This cottage sits on a double lot, providing plenty of off-street parking space for boats, trailers or extra vehicles. The large grounds and beautiful view also provide a great opportunity for large get-togethers such as graduation parties, reunions, or weddings.

The Skaneateles Historic District is home to a working, old-fashioned American bakery and a repurposed creamery, now home to the Skaneateles Historical Society Museum, where guests can view recovered farming and manufacturing tools, works of art, and relics of transportation. Other notable attractions include miles of wineries throughout the Finger lakes region, historical farms, several preserved homes and New Hope Mills, all nestled in a scenic backdrop and connected by walking trails.
The lakeside cabin is also located a short distance from Anyela’s Vineyards, where tastings and tours are available, as well as scenic photography and wedding backdrops and on-site, partnered catering. With its easy access to the lake, owners of the three-bedroom lakeside cottage have begun offering convenient weekly kayak rentals for those who want to take full advantage of that beautiful private shoreline. If you have your own boat, the public launch is only about 1 mile before you reach the cabin, and you will find a dock and buoy when you arrive for days of convenient pleasure-boating. And of course, the entire region is traversed by some of the most beautiful hiking trails in the state.
