Imagine spending your days on a one-of-a-kind 1300 sq. ft. dock overlooking 150 feet of private lake front and beach to Cayuga Lake. Imagine laying in bed and watching the sunrise over the lake. Welcome to our Lake front cottage with guest studio, where you choose each day’s activity: Stay and play at Cayuga lake, or explore the exciting Finger Lakes Region!

Inside our Cayuga Lake cottage is a large dining area; fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, breakfast table, oven, stove-top, toaster, dishes, pots, pans); knotty pine interior; wood stove; great-room; bay windows over looking the lake. Many decorations are from local artists.

Sleeping arrangement: Master bedroom has a queen bed. 2nd bedroom has a bunk bed that has a double bed futon on bottom and single twin on top (designed for adults). 3rd bedroom has a twin trundle bed. For a real treat, sleep in the screened in porch - fall asleep to the stars and wake up to the sun. 2 full baths and 2 1/2 Baths. Guest cottage has full-size bed and full size futon.

Unique Features

The two story screened in porch has two sitting areas, and the sitting area outside around the Firepit features adirondack chairs and an amazing beach. Walk out the huge screened in porch and onto beach. Bring your favorite yard games and enjoy our bocce and badminton. Play board games on the porch til all hours of the night: monopoly, tripoly, battleship, etc.

Guests that need a little more space, or privacy, have access to our separate Guest Cottage which has a full bath, sitting area, and mini kitchenette. Perfect for families traveling with grandparents! It has a full-size bed and full size futon.

Fun amenities for adults and children: Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville Blender and Drink Maker and Commercial Popcorn Maker. I supply the popcorn; you bring the drink fixings

Things To Do

Sit (or fish) at the end of the dock and just stare at the lake activity, or get out there! Hop in our canoe or paddle boat and explore the shore. Swing on the swing set, paddle in the lake on floaties, or play bocce or badminton. Dinner time is still a great time to be outside, so fire up the grill and spread out the lounge chairs on dock - there are 3 dining areas: in the house, on the porch, and on the dock. Actually 4, there is also a table and chairs on the shaded dock.Cayuga is an amazing boating Lake - it's 40 miles long.

This is wine country and you’re located in the middle of the Cayuga Wine trail (we recommend Buttonwood Grove). 30 miles to the south is Ithaca, NY - we are 12 miles from Seneca Falls museums and the Seward and Harriett Tubman historical houses. Since you book directly with us (Janice) we can give you tips on what to see and do in the Finger Lakes Region. The Taughannock Falls are a must-see. The Moosewood restaurant of cookbook fame is a great place to eat.

Reviews

What a great place to stay with a large group. It is right...I mean right on Cayuga lake. The location is very rural and peaceful, but central to several wineries and parks. About 15 minutes from the historical town of Seneca Falls. There are four outside seating areas, including a table with seating for 8 in the lanai (FL term for screened in patio). There is also a nice fire pit. Margaret T.
Being at the waters edge was a thrill of a life time. October is a great time to be there without all the hustle and bustle of the summer crowd which made our stay very peaceful and quiet. Dominic E.
This is a wonderful cottage on the lake to get away. My family and I enjoyed it so much we want to come back next year. It is very peaceful and I love the fact that the lake is right out the back door. We also love the fact that it is pet friendly. Our dog couldn't stay away from the water. Jennifer G.
Wow; the cottage on the lake exceeded all of our expectations in our family of four. From the moment we arrived, it felt like home to us. The screened-in porch overlooking the lake was especially an added bonus to our stay. Richard T.

About the Owner/Manager

I fell in love with Cayuga Lake when I was a freshman at Eisenhower College at the top of the lake. I spend as much time there as I can. I rented for 7 years before finding the perfect place on Cayuga Lake 17 years ago. Did you know? Cayuga Lake is the longest of central New York's glacial Finger Lakes!
