Independence River Lodge is a an intimate, newly remodeled, five-bedroom vacation home located at the center of the Adirondacks and Tug Hill region. This 250 acre, forested wonderland is perfect for bringing up a group of friends and family to enjoy a scenic hike along the river in the summer, or an adventurous ride on the ATV snowy trails during the winter. In addition to the various outdoor activities this lodge has to offer, there are also ample opportunities to relax.
Inside the luxurious lodge, you can find the a room on both the first and second floor with 75in televisions and extra large L-shaped sectionals. These areas are perfect for watching TV with a large group, and the second floor couch provides more space to sleep an extra 2-3 guests. Additionally, there is a full bathroom with a double-vanity sink just off the second-floor living room.
The lower-level of the lodge consists of a high-end chef’s kitchen and a grand dining table that seats 10 people. You can also find a laundry room with brand new appliances; a full bathroom with features such as a rain shower and detailed tiling; and a futon located in the wide hallway, which can sleep 1-2 guests.
The lodge sleeps a total of 12 people with five full bedrooms. The bedrooms at Independence River Lodge are equipped with one king-sized bed, three queen-sized beds, and two twin beds.
Unique Features
The Independence River lodge includes a full European-styled sauna with a quaint kitchenette, containing a mini-fridge and a surplus of snack and beverage options, as well as a petite bathroom showcasing a walk-in shower. Outside, the vacation home has a cozy hot tub, along with a fire-pit section perfect for making s’mores with the family! For those looking to get active indoors, the game room is perfect for you, which includes both air hockey and foosball.
Things To Do
The Independence River Lodge is in a very secluded area of Glenfield, providing a picturesque view while driving up the long driveway.
Within a 20 minute drive, you can enjoy other snow sports during the winter time such as snow tubing at Maple Ridge Center and skiing at the Snow Ridge Ski Resort.
For those who like to vacation during the warmer seasons, there are an abundance of outdoor activities to enjoy under the sun. You can make a short day-trip to Brangtingham Lake to go fishing, swimming, canoeing, boating and more! Just a little bit away, you can also enjoy some nice hiking and horse trails at Otter Creek State Forest.
There is certainly no shortage on delicious food spots and grocery stores nearby. From the famous Miller’s Meat Market to Tony Harper’s Pizza and Clam Shack, you won’t have to worry about an empty stomach! Then after a hot meal, you can spend the evening at Valley Brook Drive-In to watch a film.

Highly recommend! Top notch! Beautiful oasis in the middle of the Adirondacks. Total perfection inside and out. The main house is beautifully remodeled with care and much attention to detail. Comfortably sleeps large groups and the common areas are perfect for family time together. Kitchen is spacious and hosts top of the line appliances. Nothing was spared in making this home feel like a high end resort. The sauna and hot tub area is a luxury spa. Meticulously finished details with a mini kitchen, bathroom and everything you’d need to leave rested and relaxed. Leleya’s home is spectacular in every way. The property itself is beyond beautiful. The house is surrounded by an open area for cooking out, sitting around campfires sitting on extra large Adirondack chairs. There are multiple places designated for fire pit usage. One is next to the hot tub and building where the incredible sauna is. Large roomy top porch with cozy table and chairs to enjoy morning coffee while listening to the birds. The trails from the home to walk beside and down to the running river is very close. Spectacular views of the water and small falls. I saw one deer !
The house inside was professionally decorated. Large rooms and excellent amenities! Kitchen was modern and high end. Game room amazing with lots of choices.
