Nestled on 18 private acres in Fort Ann, New York, The Farmhouse is a secluded lake‑access retreat in the Lake George Region. This rustic‑chic home blends the warmth of a classic Adirondack farmhouse with modern comforts. Four spacious bedrooms and three full baths offer plenty of space for up to 10 guests, and a pull‑out sofa in the living area provides additional sleeping space. The Farmhouse sits on a gentle slope overlooking Hadlock Pond with its own private dock, so you can launch a canoe or tie up a small motorboat.

Step inside to discover a bright, open‑concept living room, dining room and kitchen with wide plank floors, timber beams and a stone‑accented fireplace. The main floor hosts a king bedroom with ensuite bath, two additional queen bedrooms, another full bath and laundry. Upstairs you’ll find a private primary suite with a king bed, ensuite bath and adjacent office space. The fully equipped kitchen features a large island for preparing family meals, while the adjoining dining area opens onto a wrap‑around porch with lake views.

Outside, your private oasis continues with a secluded hot tub, a large patio with gas grill and dining table, and a custom fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs. Enjoy morning coffee on the porch, afternoons swimming or fishing from your dock, and evenings stargazing by the fire. Guests also have access to an enclosed outdoor shower and a game room stocked with board games and puzzles for rainy days. With central air conditioning, high‑speed Wi‑Fi and year‑round availability, The Farmhouse is ideal for vacations in any season.

Unique Features

What sets The Farmhouse apart is its combination of rustic ambiance and luxury amenities. The home is surrounded by forest and meadow, yet you’ll enjoy modern comforts like central air conditioning, high‑speed wireless internet, a washer/dryer and a fully stocked kitchen. A wrap‑around covered porch spans the front of the house, offering panoramic views of Hadlock Pond and the surrounding mountains. The separate game room provides space for family fun, and the office nook makes it easy to check in with work when needed.

Outdoor living is at the heart of this property. The Farmhouse boasts private lake access with a dock suitable for boats up to 20 feet, a soothing hot tub, a fire pit and an outdoor dining area. Because the home sits on 18 acres, you can explore the grounds, take your dog for a walk (pets are welcome for a small fee) or simply enjoy the quiet solitude. The property is also equipped with central air and a backup generator to ensure uninterrupted comfort.

Things To Do

The Farmhouse is a short drive from Lake George Village, a lively lakeside town packed with restaurants, pubs, arcades and mini‑golf courses. Bright red trolleys shuttle visitors around town, and sightseeing steamships offer dinner cruises and day trips on Lake George. Spend an afternoon browsing the unique shops and enjoying live music in Shepard Park, then catch the weekly fireworks over the lake during summer.

Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to Buck Mountain and Sleeping Beauty Mountain, two popular hiking destinations in the Lake George Wild Forest. Buck Mountain is a moderate 3‑mile climb that rewards hikers with sweeping views of Lake George and the Adirondack Mountains. For a quieter walk, explore nearby Shelving Rock Falls or take the family on a guided horseback ride through wooded trails.

Water‑based fun abounds in every season. Hadlock Pond and Lake George offer excellent fishing, kayaking and boating. Bring your own vessel or rent one from a local marina; there are also public and private beaches, tubing trips and scenic lake cruises. In winter, head to Gore Mountain or West Mountain ski resorts for downhill skiing and snowboarding, or visit the Lake George Winter Carnival for ice sculptures, bonfires and hot chocolate. Cross‑country ski trails, snowshoeing and snowmobiling are all within a 30‑minute drive.

The surrounding region is rich with history and culture. Tour Fort William Henry, an eighteenth‑century British fort at the southern tip of Lake George, or drive to Saratoga Springs for horse racing and spa treatments. Local vineyards, craft breweries and farm‑to‑table restaurants provide plenty of opportunities for culinary adventures.
